Frequently Asked Questions

What is therapy, and how can it help me?

Therapy is a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. It can help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

What issues can I bring to therapy?

You can bring any issue, big or small, that you’re struggling with—such as stress, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, or life transitions.

How long are the sessions, and how often should I attend?

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. The frequency depends on your needs and preferences—weekly sessions are common.

Are you qualified and registered?

Yes, I hold a PG Cert in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a BSc in Social Psychology. I’m also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

How can I pay for my sessions?

You can pay via bank transfer or at the session. I also have a card machine on hand, so you can pay securely using your debit or credit card during your appointment.

Do you offer payment plans or discounted rates?

I do offer concession fees, which are discounted rates for those who may need financial assistance. While I don’t provide formal payment plans, feel free to reach out to discuss your situation, and we can talk about what options might work best for you.

What if I want to go on holiday or take a break from sessions?

That’s absolutely fine! We can factor your holiday or break into our schedule ahead of time. Just let me know in advance, and we’ll plan around it to ensure continuity when you’re ready to return.

I’m scared to see someone face-to-face and feel really nervous. Is there any other way you can help me?

Absolutely. If you’re feeling too nervous to meet face-to-face, I also offer virtual sessions via video call or telephone sessions. These options allow us to connect in a way that feels more comfortable for you while still providing the same level of support and care. Let me know what works best for you, and we can take it from there.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone looking to explore their feelings, overcome challenges, or gain clarity and direction in life. If you’re unsure, we can start with an initial session to talk about your needs . This will give you a sense of what to expect and help you decide if it feels like the right fit for you
